It got up to 81 today.. it was hot and windy. A nice change from the breezy 50's at night, mind you I'm not complaining about the arctic chill that sets into the house as I'm sleeping.
With not a cloud in sight and a mind to get done, I got up at 7:30 this morning and went to work. Doing what? Oh.. cleaning the kitchen from top to bottom, even cleaning and re-organizing my fridge, edited some of the hundreds of pictures I have taken lately, did all of my cardio exercising, and then pooped back out in front of the computer. Oh I did take the recycling down to the drop off too, with the help of boy - who was in no mood mind you.
Boy slept in very late, he is in a morose state today - which is fine, sometimes we just need to lull through a day or two here and there. Although he did get up long enough to get creative with his lunch and help with recycling.
I was in the mood for fresh today so I opted for a big salad, to be accompanied with previously grilled, greek style chicken from a night ago. Boy went another route, after much debate he ended up with a bowl in a cast iron skillet. Wait.. what did you say? A flat bread bowl it was - and he filled with pieces of the same chicken and a pork/veggie mixture - I must say I somewhat turned my nose at. Oddly enough it came out looking damn cool and when he offered up a bite it was also damn tasty!
The other part of the day took me to the Asheville Botanical Garden where I snapped a few pictures of native flora and a couple trickling streams.. they also had a couple old log cabins on site.
I think I may go take a nap?
